Lagazuoi Photo Award - Partners

The partners: first-rate education, technology and know-how are rising to the summit

The project promotes the search for a new image of the mountains by relying on the enthusiasm and creativity of young people, who can rely on state-of-the-art technologies and high-quality know-how. That’s why Lagazuoi EXPO Dolomiti has decided to involve several renowned Italian art schools and Nikon, one of the world's largest manufacturers of photographic equipment, in the second edition of the prize.

The ‘Accademia di Belle Arti G. Carrara di Bergamo’, already a partner in 2022, is now being joined by the ‘Istituto Italiano di Fotografia di Milano’ and ‘Officine Fotografiche di Roma’. Students from these three Institutes will be selected to participate in the artist residency. Young people with different backgrounds, coming from different regions, but all with a passion for trekking, mountains and, of course,  photography. An unprecedented adventure will await them together with their tutors: a Nikon creator, i.e. a photographer, videomaker or content creator associated with the well-known brand.
Nikon and the Nikon School will also provide participants with state-of-the-art cameras and instruments.

The coordinated interaction of all these actors – an exhibition centre at high altitude that becomes an iconography laboratory, Italian academic excellence, and one of the best-known brands in the photographic sector - enriches the offer and is the driving force behind the second edition of the competition.
