Ronny Pozzato

Ronny Pozzato (Vicenza, 1998) explores a "found gaze" already inscribed in the landscape, seeking material structures ready to act as frames: binoculars, fence grids, alpine signs. Venturing into WWI trenches, he observed the mountain through embrasures, producing a mise en abîme between the gazes of soldier, hiker, tourist and photographer — a frame within a frame, where the trench's darkness tears open onto a sunlit mountain silhouette. A reflection on vision and photography itself, his work attunes to a pre-existing way of seeing.
