The competing photographers

Giorgia Dal Molin

Giorgia Dal Molin was born in Belluno, in the Dolomites, in spring 1996. After completing her classical education, she moved to Padua, where she graduated in techniques of medical radiology. Later, in 2019, she moved to Milan, where she attended the Italian Institute of Photography as a student and tutor. She graduated in 2022 and started working as a photographer, light assistant and digital assistant for fashion photography productions. Involved with photography since childhood, she has focused her projects on personal themes related to family history, evocative places and stories she encountered during her life.

Written texts are often a lead-in or jumping-off point for her photographs, which tell stories with irony and a distinct personal point of view. In 2020, during the pandemic, she published a photograph in the magazine L'internazionale. She was subsequently a guest at the Tank International Photo Festival in Apecchio for two consecutive years with "Serva Terra" and "Limes". In 2021, she exhibited "Limes" at the collective 'Evolvere' in Milan and subsequently, during the same year, "Viaggio al termine della luce" (Journey to the End of Light) at the collective exhibition curated by Roberto Mutti. In September 2023, she is in Cuneo at the festival | paesaggi | si FormicaLab with the project 'Ho visto uomini(?)' (I have seen men(?)), which tells about life on the Marmolada.
