Leonardo Bandini

Leonardo Bandini (Faenza, 2005) photographed the WWI tunnels of Lagazuoi Anticima using forensic photography methods, treating the site as a crime scene. Through close-ups, environmental shots and evidence markers, he built a visual catalogue of clues, combining historical wartime traces with modern alterations left by visitors. The work resists the fast consumption of war imagery, inviting instead a slow, critical viewing and an ethical choice between digging deeper or consciously accepting not to know.
